Etna<\/h4>\n

Our guesthouse is five minutes by car from the centre of\u00a0 Nicolosi, starting point for the excursions to reach the summit craters of\u00a0 Etna. The volcano offers wonderful naturalistic routes, paths and itineraries to discover caves, lava valleys and unique sights created by the force of\u00a0 lava over the centuries<\/p>\n

Catania<\/h4>\n

Twenty minutes by car from \u201cLe Pernici\u201d, Catania is a city rich in roman, medieval and, above all, baroque\u00a0testimony a<\/strong>nd is well known for its animated and lively night life. The suggested itinerary includes the historic\u00a0centre, the cathedral and the statue of an elephant (liotru), symbol of the city, the Benedictine monastery, today\u00a0part of university, Ursino castle built by Frederick II of Svevia, and the characteristic Fish Market.<\/p>\n

Taormina<\/h4>\n

The pearl of the Ionian is just under forty minutes away from the villa by car and it is the most famous Sicilian\u00a0town in the world, thanks to its ancient Greek theatre home of concerts and events and for its splendid beaches,\u00a0among which that in front of\u00a0 Isola Bella.<\/p>\n

Gorges of Alcantara<\/h4>\n

A park natural canyon twenty minutes from Taormina<\/strong>, created by the river Alcantara, with gorges as high as 50\u00a0meters. Inside the gorges it is possible to sunbathe or swim from the small beach on the river banks, or take the\u00a0various naturalistic walks along the gorges. Rafting or excursions on quads are organized on demand.<\/p>\n

Gastronomical Specialties<\/b><\/h4>\n

Our land offers a vast variety of\u00a0 both sweet and salted excellent specialities, from the crushed iced drinks of\u00a0various flavours to the rice \u201c arancini \u201c.<\/p>\n

Etna is also land of great \u201cDoc\u201d wines which have obtained\u00a0 fame in the last few years.
